"Cielo" is a short ethnographic video documenting Mayan women weavers in their homes living in the Yucatan. These women are able to make a living and help support their families through Cielo Hammocks, a hammock business founded by Josefina and Constantino Urzaiz based in Merida, Mexico. Cielo Hammocks also sponsors a nonprofit called Cielo Communities Foundation to help end generational poverty in artisan communities. Hammocks made in this community are sold and enjoyed all around the world.
